Book in a bag
“If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.” (J.K.Rowling)
That’s what the 1 HOFA A wanted to change! They decided with their English teacher to immerse themselves in the world of books. After having chosen a book to read in the free time and sometimes in class, they had to prepare a book market where other students could forage for a title they would like to read. But how could the students awaken interest for their book? With a decorated paper bag!
Once read the book and prepared the paper bag with a summary of the book attached at the back of it, they invited the 1 HOFA C to come to their book market in the school’s library, where the students could stroll through the market. Every student could present his/her book to students interested in their book using the special paper bag. After having listened to a few presentations, the guests could take home a book of their own choice.
Last week the partners in reading met again and had a little exchange about their reading experience and if expectations were met.
